The lodge, the ocean and the islands

Discover the lodge, its beach and the landscapes of the Nosy Be archipelago in pictures. Open any photo to see it larger.

The lodge from the water, its pitched roof among the palms behind the beach, two boats in the turquoise shallows

The upper floor open to the sea under the pitched roof, a table set by the railing

A long sandbank running out from a wooded point into turquoise shallows, from the air

A four-poster bed under a white net, a hardwood floor and a wooden ceiling

Coconut palms leaning over the sand, the sea and the hills behind

A pirogue under a striped sail crossing in front of a forested hill

The lodge from the air: its thatched roof and solar panels among the palms, the beach, and the island across the turquoise channel

A hammock slung on the terrace under the thatch, palm fronds beyond the railing

A steep rock islet crowned with scrub, rising out of deep blue water

An upstairs bedroom under the bamboo roof, the bed framed by a white net and two round poufs

A man paddling a pirogue in silhouette on golden water at sunset, a second canoe beyond

A green island in two parts joined by a narrow neck, ringed by reef, from the air

The open kitchen and bar, stools carved from single trunks on a pale floor

A pirogue drawn up on a beach under leaning palms, green hills across the water

A chain of rocky islets joined by a sand spit across the reef, from the air

A bed under a lace canopy beneath the bamboo roof, a round brass plate on the wall

The bay at sunset under a burning orange sky, a pirogue with two paddlers in silhouette, the dark hill of the headland on the right

An outrigger under a blue striped sail, a dry hilly island behind it

The beach in front of the lodge from offshore, palms along the sand and boats at anchor

A small green chameleon on a stem, its tail coiled

A white sand spit curving off a wooded island into the sea, from the air

Palms and a thatched roof above the beach from the air, boats at anchor in the bay

Grilled lobster with rice and green beans on a silver plate

A catamaran under sail on deep blue water, the coast behind

An island whose sand spit forks in two into turquoise water, from the air

The bay at sunset through palm fronds, a thatched parasol on the beach in silhouette

The beach at dusk seen from the lodge, two pirogues on the sand, a palm on the left and the island across the bay under a pink and violet sky
